The Effects of Sleep on Alzheimer's Lead Investigator: Sean Lacoursiere Institution : University of Lethbridge E-Mail : sean.lacoursiere@uleth.ca Proposal ID : 696 Proposal Description: Reduced sleep duration and quality as we age increases the severity of Alzheimer's. Expect to see Alzeimer's severity and incident of occurring increase as sleep quality and duration decrease. If the results are correct, techniques for treatment and prevention could be started earlier in life. The hypothesis to be tested is: There is an inverse relationship between severity and onset of Alzheimer's disease with a reduction of sleep.
